I found your impressions of Vancouver, B.C. and Seattle very interesting indeed. I could understand about 90% of what you wrote, but (unfortunately) I can comment with confidence only in English!

I agree with your initial comment on Vancouver: "Vancouver é uma cidade lindíssima, com um charme muito especial." Yes, Vancouver is a quite beautiful city, and it has a very special charm. I've been to Vancouver, B.C. several times and I had exactly the same impression each time. I think Vancouver, B.C. is particularly beautiful in the spring. By the way, there is also a city named Vancouver in the U.S. state of Washington. It's a nice place, but--in my opinion, at least--it doesn't have the charm and natural beauty of Vancouver, B.C.

I wasn't able to attend the TESOL conference in Seattle physically, but I still felt that I participated in it because of the Webheads & Friends at TESOL 2007 blog. My impressions (from reading the posts and comments in the blog and from participating via the Internet in several of the live webcasts) was also the same as yours: "Foi muito bom encontrar pessoas tão diferentes e no entanto tão iguais em emoções. " I agree that the Webheads at Seattle were a group of people who are individually very different but who are also the same in terms of their feelings. Like you, I also feel privileged to have a connection to this very special group.

My very best wishes to you, João, and of course to Teresa as well!

Muitos abraços!

Dennis (in Phoenix)

Great blog, Joao! Sorry to be writing in English, but I can only understand written Portuguese..., and if you speak slowly, I might get some words...
But let me tell you meeting you and Tere has been one of the "limelights" of my trip to Seattle..., and as I saw your pictures and listened to your podacast yesterday..., I once more realized how rich we can feel with friends like you two!

I agree with you: Seattle was "something else". All the warmth, all the friendship of people from different spots in the world was a moving, momorable experience.

All our best wishes to you and Tere and Ze Luis, as well!

Rita (and Hector..., sitting by my side and enjoying it all...)
